"Peach Nectar" is fabricated from Flagstaff Peach Nectar can labels, black sheep's fur, fabric, and peach pits. I was privileged with a studio at the Citadel in San Jose during my early years as an artist. The owner, Mike Clark, was kind enough to recognize my conceptual direction and invited me to some old stock labels......The words "Nectar"....and "packed in Saccharin" were of particular curiosity for me. The day I spent gutting the fleshy peaches at the edge of the Police station parking lot produced an interesting experience, one that I won't soon forget...
